Carlo is a Partner with SJL and has been practicing since his call to the bar in 2001 in the areas of corporate law, corporate acquisitions, restructurings and tax planning, commercial and residential real estate, commercial financings and banking transactions, international commercial transactions, municipal and development law, energy and resource law and wills and estate planning. Carlo advises local, national and multi-national clients on a variety of legal transactions and matters including corporations, joint ventures, developers, general contractors, mining companies, financial institutions and professional services firms, for both Ontario legal needs and internationally.

Carlo brings a complete view of legal advice and its intersection at all levels of business and growth having previously worked in Europe for a global law firm, a Canadian investment dealer and a global digital transformation and consulting corporation in various roles. Carlo continues to be an active member of the community and is a member of the Rotary Club of Sault Ste. Marie, a Director of the Algoma Family Services Foundation, a past President of the Sault Ste. Marie Chamber of Commerce and serves as a coach in the competitive program of the Sault Youth Soccer Club. Carlo is fluent in English, French, Italian and Spanish.
