Hugh has recently joined the firm as Counsel after decades of practicing law in Sault Ste. Marie and surrounding area.

Hugh graduated with honours from Western University’s Faculty of Law and was called to the Ontario bar in 1979. Since then, Hugh returned to his hometown where he has served both large and small businesses, numerous non-profit organizations and thousands of individual clients. Hugh has mentored many young lawyers and continues to do so.

Hugh has appeared before all levels of the Ontario courts, the federal courts, and has conducted numerous commercial and labour arbitrations as well as private mediations. His principal areas of practice currently are real estate, corporate-commercial law, wills and estates.

Hugh has served as a volunteer and counsel to numerous organizations and charities in the Sault area and continues to do so.
